Well, first of all..I'd like to say that Traditional Witchcraft and Wicca are almost opposite with their beliefs. We all believe that nature is sacred, but we do not worship it. All Pagans believe that nature is sacred, basically.

Traditional Witches do not:

-Worship deities (some may, but use them differently)
-Cast circles
-Call the elements (although some do call on the spirits, birds, summer warmth, water, and the land, etc. This varies)
-Follow the Threefold Law or the Wiccan Rede as these are a part of Wicca and are fairly new. Wicca includes a bunch of beliefs put together from Eastern European philosophies and not from where Witchcraft originated from, which is Western Europe.
-Have a "Book of Shadows"
-Believe that whatever you do comes back times three
-Believe in a hierarchal system (like degrees and such, which is a part of Wicca)
-Believe that spells you find in books always work
-Say "Bright blessings" or "Blessed be"
-Believe that tools are required for a spell or ritual
-Believe that curses/hexes should never be practiced
-Believe in free will

Now, that's just a bit of it. Some people may consider Traditional Witchcraft a religion or a craft. It all depends.

There are few books in Traditional Witchcraft. Robin Artisson, although a controversial author, is a Traditional Witch author.

Traditional Witches use their own power and energy for spells/rituals. We also believe you shouldn't just copy spells out of a book as this isn't your own energy. I mean, you are using your own energy by performing this spell and having the intent to do so, BUT, if you make your own spells (which is what we strongly believe you should do) you have much more intent behind it and you put so much energy into the spell that it'll have greater power.

You have to be at one with nature, the earth, the Universe, and your spirit. You HAVE to believe in magic to perform spells and rituals. HAVE TO. Magic is there, always. Whether we call it magic or something else. Spells work, I tell you this from personal experience for about seven years.

There is no "black" or "white" magic. Nature is both so therefore magic is both. But when people say black or white magic, they're referring to black as being curses, hexes, jinxes, etc. When someone says white magic, they're talking about positive magic.

Just remember, we all take responsibility for our actions!
